History:
The Haunted Forest is a non-profit event dedicated to producing a drug and alcohol-free fun and exciting community Halloween event. The Haunted Forest has been creating this unique Vermont event and entertaining guests for 34 years! When the Audubon Society in Huntington could no longer host the event after 21 years, a group of devoted volunteers formed the organization Fun for Change to carry on the tradition of The Haunted Forest. This thriving event found a new home at the Catamount Family Center in Williston. It has been a wonderful place to host the Forest since 2002. The Haunted Forest is an extraordinary event combining outdoor theater, special effects, the magic of the night forest, and the "spirit" of Halloween.  Along the way, they witness approximately 11 Halloween-themed performances, that range in their entertainment from scary to funny to artistic. Always trying to incorporate newer technologies 2013 had two big changes. Sindy Skinless and the Decomposers performed in the show as well as the big spinning Vortex was up and disorienting patrons on the way through the forest.
